WHAT MAKES THESE BICYCLE MAPS UNIQUE?

Our maps encompass an extensive ADFC cycling route network, illustrating surface types, traffic volumes, signage, adjacent bike paths, inclines, rail trail routes, junction networks, and more. This comprehensive data is presented on a purposefully optimized map base tailored for cyclists, at a scale of 1:75,000, featuring contour lines and terrain shading. This design allows users to intuitively grasp relevant information for effective orientation during rides.

WHAT SETS THIS APP APART?

The application combines the reliability of traditional bicycle maps with modern digital features: real-time GPS positioning shows your exact location; optional map orientation according to travel direction; search functionality for locations and recommended tours from the ADFC system, including descriptions and elevation profiles; customizable route planning with a touring-optimized algorithm whose suggestions can be refined using map data; route recording and import options; and the ability to mark personal highlights—all within an intuitive interface.

Usage instructions:

1. Download the "ADFC Karten" app free of charge.
2. No registration required.
3. Subscribe to the comprehensive package via Mapstore (annual or weekly), offering access to over 100 regions in Germany and four European countries. Subsequently, download all or selected regions.
4. Alternatively, purchase individual regions at a one-time fee through Mapstore.
5. Optionally, download regions such as Lake Constance, Upper Lusatia, North Sea Coast Schleswig-Holstein, Rhön, and Trier free of charge by acquiring them within the app.
6. Purchased regions can be used across multiple iOS devices linked to the same Apple ID; use the "Restore Purchases" feature for additional devices.

Please note:

• The regional boundaries generally match those of printed maps, often extending slightly beyond.
• The app’s map data aligns precisely with its printed counterparts in scale; zooming enhances visibility without altering content. For additional details, a free OpenStreetMap layer is available.
• Background GPS tracking for route recording may significantly impact battery life.
